About the Orchestra

Conductor: Peter Fender
Leader: Abigail Dance

The Angel Orchestra is a London amateur orchestra with a professional leader, principal violist and principal cellist who meet once a week to rehearse together at St Silas Church, Risinghill Street in Angel, Islington.

Our repertoire includes a broad range of classical works from Bach and Beethoven, later Romantic and more modern pieces – sometimes written or arranged for us by our own conductor and players.

We are always on the lookout for new players who would like to join, in particular brass, viola, cello and double bass players. Violinists are welcome to sign up to our waiting list.
